Here at PFC Care Ltd, we are looking for caring, hard-working individuals to train to be Live- In -Carers. Having a Caring and Compassionate nature, you’ll help them do the things that matter most to them and help them to remain independent within the comfort of their own home. Living in our customers’ home you will assist with everyday living as well as personal care, mobility and overseeing medication.

As a Live-In Carer your duties will be:

  • Companionship – sharing conversation and spending time together
  • Personal care – assisting with bathing, dressing and, when necessary, continence support
  • Assistance with mobility – some customers need assistance getting around the home
  • Medication – as per the customer’s care plan
  • Emergencies – responding to emergency situations, if needed
  • Reporting – Observing and reporting any changes in the health or status of the client
  • Light household duties – help around the home, such as vacuuming or washing clothes
  • Meal Preparations – Preparing and cooking meals
  • Running errands – assisting with tasks such as shopping or picking up prescriptions
  • Recording – Keeping accurate records of visits for others to review on our E-Management system

We currently have live-in care placements in Kent.

  • Available for minimum 2 weeks live-in rotation

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Previous care experience essential.
  • Live-In-Care and Dementia experience are a bonus.

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Service Manager to join our fledgling supported accommodation home for 16–18-year-olds, in Hythe, Kent. We are a family -oriented health and social care provider who is passionate about delivering support to young vulnerable people.

The Registered Service Manager will lead an amazing staff team, manage support plans, and ensure compliance to Ofsted Regulations and Quality Standards, whilst fostering a nurturing environment for both young people.

You will be joining PFC Care Ltd to hire, grow and support a highly trained and passionate team that put the young people at the heart of everything we do.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

· Day to day managerial oversight

· Play a key role in contributing to operational and strategic plans enabling business growth

· Meeting Ofsted regulatory requirements

· Representing PFC Care to various stakeholders

· Developing an effective, highly skilled team

· Auditing and Quality assurance control

· Collaborate with the local community and charitable organisations

Duties:

· Supervise daily operations of the supported accommodation provision, ensuring adherence to Ofsted Regulations and Quality Standards.

· Develop, implement, and review individual support plans tailored to the needs of young people.

· Maintain accurate records of young people’s progress and any incidents that occur.

· Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high standard of support.

· Provide leadership to staff, supervise and support staff in delivering exceptional support, whilst fostering a positive team environment

· Conduct regular risk assessments of young people’s needs and adjust support plans accordingly.

· Ensure that the accommodation is compliant with all health and safety regulations, including conducting regular audits.

· Engage with young people and their families to address concerns and enhance their overall experience within the home.

Experience:

· At least two years of experience in a position relevant to residential support of children or adults within the five years

· Hold or prepared to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)

· Previous experience in supported accommodation services or similar care settings is essential and a strong understanding of the Ofsted Regulations.

· Proven track record in leading, managing and supervising teams.

· Familiarity with and sympathetic to young people’s needs including those who have suffered trauma and/or abuse or exploitation, is highly desirable.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.

· Experience in developing and managing support plans tailored to individual resident needs.

-Work Collaboratively with other Healthcare Professionals to ensure full Integrated Care

– An NVQ level 1-3 would be an added bonus

-A capable and safe Driver with a full UK Driver’s Licence
